Exhibition Guide for those who are lost.

Embark on a exploration of discovery, where patience unveils hidden narratives within each piece, including Korean phrases to unravel.

Description:
"Lost and Found" presents a new experimental typeface called Neue Corea — a fusion of Hangeul (Korean alphabet) and the Latin script. This convergence invites viewers to witness visual duality: some see intricate Korean characters, while others identify familiar English letterforms. Reflecting the artist's journey as a Korean navigating American culture, the exhibit delves into the struggle of reconciling dual identities. Amidst feelings of alienation from the vast differences between East and West, the exhibit serves as a bridge, fostering belonging and cultural understanding. It invites individuals to explore the nuances of identity with patience and empathy, ultimately finding connection through shared experiences.

The delicate interplay between Hangeul's geometric shapes and the Latin script not only challenges expectations but also serves as a testament to dual cultural identities. The intentional ambiguity of the visual exploration of the new typeface sparks dynamic engagement, encouraging individuals to interpret the typeface through their unique cultural and linguistic lenses. After spending time discerning English typefaces, one can discover that the same shapes can be utilized to form Korean words.
